What is your favorite route for a weekend morning or afternoon ride?

Post a google map link of your favorite ride and tell us a bit about why you like this route. My route is a 53 mile loop that takes me through some rural roads with some nice scenery, twisties, sweepers and has a rest stop at the Round Valley Resevoir that has a nice overlook. It's a good place to sit in the shade rest a bit and rehydrate.

One of my favorite rides takes me on an 82 mile loop. My favorite part of the loop is route 120 past Emporium to Sinnemahoning and Wycoff Run Road from Sinnemahoning to the Quehanna Wildlife Area. There are some nice twisties and scenery, very little traffic, and a lot of places to pull off for a quick break. It's a good little ride for when I don't have a lot of time for riding, like after work.

Unfortunetly, Down in the CSRA area, there aren't that many long stretches of curves. So you have to do the same stretch over and over, or travel a good bit between good stretches of twisties (if you can call them that.) Anyway here's where I like to go. This is more than just my places I like to ride through. This is what I call my rider's notebook. Its where I place info on all things of my riding.

It comprises a rather narrow area and I am not very computer savy, so here is my attempt http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl a small portion of one of my ride's. The area that I frequent most consists of Interstate 85 on the north side, Augusta on the Southside, Georgia 17 on the west side and the savannah River on the east side.

I'm sure it's a fun route, especially by the river. However, the link to Google Maps didn't work properly. You need to click on th "link" (chain icon) on Google Maps. From there you copy the link and paste it into your forum reply.

This is just a short afternoon ride, lots of turns, up and down and little traffic. Takes the kinks out after mowing grass in the morning.
Just tried to look at my map----no good. Someones gonna have to tell me how to save and send maps
Thanks
