Site Changes
Hey folks!!
Before the riding season gets into full swing for many of us, I decided to clean up the site just a bit. Here are a list of noticeable differences to the site.
1.) The first thing is the background image. This is mile marker one on TOD!! If this doesn't get you pumped about riding, contributing, and participating on the site...Nothing will. It makes me want to lean just looking at it!!
2.) The layout and color scheme was altered to better fit the site theme, turned off image head repeater which gives the main page more room and more legible. It seems to make the links and text pop better. The old school Honda gauges remain along the left pane to give that reminder of where we came from, where we are technologically!! I couldn't resist leaving them alone.
3.) The next area that I've started altering is the discussion boards by introducing categories. It may not be used a lot right now, but as we grow it will definitely help to focus on specific topics. I am looking at some of the other forums that I have used over the years as a guide. Any administrator can add categories and relocate topics to the appropriate categories. If you have category suggestions, please suggest!! Check them out!!
4.) The Ning Chat Feature has been turned on and has replaced the XAT chat box. I had the Ning Chat displaying as a trial a few weeks ago at the bottom of the main page. It fits the bill in my opinion, and looks really sharp on the site!! Your profile picture is your icon in Ning chat, and it is quieter than the XAT box. Thank WilsonRyder69 for making the decision and implementing that!!
5.) Give the site administrators feedback!! YOU are why WE are here!! Be critical, be creative, be positive!! Let us know what you think!!
