Sorry to be off the grid lately. Actually, I did make the trip out to the mountains, and it was better than I could have thought possible! I made about 13 videos of the ride, the prep, the background and such, but I haven't loaded them on here yet. You can see them at

I was going to make another trip out that way next month, but finance issues made it impossible. Maybe in September. I'd love to see the leaves turning!

I looked up Casar, NC, on Google and discovered that you are out by Hickory. I'm about 30 minutes south of Raleigh, which puts me pretty far from you. But I'll be out your way at the end of next month. A friend of mine and I are heading down the Blue Ridge Parkway from Grandfather Mountain to Deals Gap over the Memorial Day weekend.
